As the world’s second largest asset management firm, with nearly $8 trillion assets under management, Vanguard has a highly trafficked retail public website tasked with empowering prospects to become investor owners. As a team lead, I was responsible for reviewing web analytics to improve and enhance product pages for the retail public site, educating prospects on the ‘Why Vanguard’ message and the Vanguard investor journey.

Why Vanguard
In collaboration with a director of ux, senior product owner, senior content strategist and an engineering lead, I led UX product design on a revamped version of the ‘Why Vanguard’ marketing page, under ‘Why We’re Different’ section. The main goal was to help Vanguard prospects make educated decisions on how to begin their investor journey.

Ultra High Net Worth
Another one of the retail public pages I was tasked with designing was the offering for Ultra High Net Worth individuals (assets between $5 million and $100 million+). The product page presented two key offerings: 1) Self-Directed Investor in which clients can manage their larger wealth independently on their own and 2) Wealth Management Investor in which each client is assigned a personal advisor to manage their assets. This project was delivered on a tight, two to three sprint deadline.
